Start giving regularly: Stay faithful and consistent with an automatic recurring schedule. Create an account and start online giving.

 

Be a percentage giver: The Bible refers to 10% as our target for giving (it’s called tithing). But, more than 50% of regular church goers give nothing. If every attendee gave just 3-4% of their income, our church impact would more than double. If you’ve never given before, start now.  Decide what percentage you can give and give something regularly. If you’re already tithing, stay the course and watch God honor your sacrifice.

 

Make a year end gift: Special one-time, year-end gifts can be a symbolic response of a renewed focus and commitment. This faithful act changes the giver from the inside out and expresses your willingness to trust God in all things.

 

Benefits to Online Giving

There are several benefits to online giving for both you and our church.  Some of them are. . .

 

Faithfully Honoring God - When you sign up to give online you are deciding in advance to faithfully give. God always blesses that kind of faith! The Bible teaches that we are to honor God with the “First Fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account on the day you specify, you can ensure that your First Fruits are faithfully given back to God.  Here are some other reasons:

  • Simplicity - You won’t have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when you’re on a trip.
  • Security – We utilize an encrypted secure website and online giving is more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift can’t be lost or stolen.
  • Focus – Instead of having to worry about writing a check and filling out a check during the service, you can be fully focused on the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.
  • Helping Leclaire Christian Church – Online giving is easy and cost effective for our church to process, and it makes our record keeping much easier.

 

Is My Gift Tax Deductible?

All contributions are 100% tax-deductible.  If you place your gift in the offering plate during a worship service, if it is cash, a giving envelope must be completed in order for your gift to be tax-deductible.  Giving statements are mailed periodically, as well as the end of the year, to help you keep track of your giving.
